Jagame Thandhiram: Dhanush Keeps His Fingers Crossed As He Hopes To See A Theatrical Release Of His Film; Fans Hope The Same
Tamil movie Jagame Thandhiram starring Dhanush has created a buzz on social media ever since it was announced. The film, that is directed by Karthik Subbaraj, was supposed to release in May 2020. However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the film’s release got delayed which disappointed the fans as their wait just got extended to watch this gangster drama. Furthermore, it was speculated that the film will have an OTT release as Netflix bagged the release rights for Jagame Thandiram. As fans wonder the fate of the film, Dhanush hopes to see his upcoming film in theatres just like his fans and distributors.

Sharing the tweet, he wrote, “I am hoping for the theatrical release of Jagame Thandiram like the theatre owners, exhibitors, distributors, cinema lovers and most of all my fans. Fingers crossed.”. Interestingly, recently, two South blockbusters Master and Krack turned out to be successful at the box office. Among the two, Master released on Amazon Prime Video but Jagame Thandiram never explored the box office release route. Hence, just like Dhanush, even fans hoped to see the film in the theatres only.

One fan commented, “Sir please release this movie in theatres. There should not be a feeling that after watching it in OTT that this movie is to be watched in theatres. Now that the theatres are open JT can be released in theatres with 50% occupancy aleast. Thank you. Love, One of the D Fans.”

While another one said, “Imagine watching it in OTT and when rakita song comes.. Face with rolling eyes  Imagine watching it in theatre and when the songs hits the sound system..”
